Sodom, Gomora, and America?
Can you imagine that a professed religious body, or rather, certain members of that body that call themselves bishops and clergy, would be up in arms over a library in honor of a United States President because he opposes, “Homosexual Rights?” Or should I say, ”Special Rights,” because all people in this country are protected under the Civil Rights Law. Oh yes, there are other issues they have mentioned as well, such as the war, the environment, poverty and other social concerns. However, the mention of those things do not hold a candle to the outright, “Sin,” of homosexuality. I wonder how they feel about abortion and other murder? These folks call themselves, “Methodist’s.”
I’m not sure but I think that past members of this denomination are rolling in their graves right about now. Most of them would probably hit the highway so fast to another church that it would make your head spin. It would most definately embarrass and enrage multitudes in this body that’s for sure.
Did it ever occur to these people that President Bush along with many others understand the possible ramifications in allowing sin to gain a total foothold in this country? Immorality is ever so slowly gaining momentum here in the U.S. as it is. And now we have to contend with so called, “Religious,” people dancing and singing with the devil too? I ask how long God will allow this type of behavior to go on? Do these so called Christians understand that God can still at any time bring swift judgement upon all of us?
We have right’s in this country also. I’m talking about we folks who believe what we read in the Bible. Oh yes, we are, “Fundamentalists.” We are the one’s that foolishly take God’s Word to heart. We believe all the stories like, Jonah and the Great Fish, and Moses’ parting of the Red Sea, and Noah and the Flood, and the Tower of Babel and all the miracles and such. More importantly, we believe that God destroyed the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomora? Ain’t we just the, “Back Woods Hicks?”
However, I will tell you this. If God can write a Book over a span of hundred’s of years, using over 66 inspired writers, all in harmony, with almost all of the prophcies stated coming to pass, except a few yet to be fulfilled, and preserve It all this time as well, I’ll stand with the hicks my friends!
I personally do not want myself and my family, both my physical family and my spiritual family to suffer because of other people’s complete and utter disregard of God’s will. God has made it plain that to Him homosexual activities is an abomination, both in the Old and New Testaments. It cannot be more clear than what is found on this deviate life style in the pages of Holy Writ.
I can only hope and pray that we have another President elected in 2008 that will stand for what is right in the eyes of God almighty as Mr. Bush has. I do not like war. However, I do understand that the President has tough choices to make every day and the job that he has is not easy. Remember also that there may be things happening behind the scenes that we cannot know. I will give him the benifit of the doubt.
In conclusion, I will say that there is darkness waiting in the wings ready and willing to take us further down the road of ruin and decay. Remember that when it comes time to vote. Unsrupulous deviate forces of evil lurk in the shadows. Do you want to know how I know this? The Bible tells me so. And yes, I believe It!
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.(Joshua 24: 15)
